Garnet Valley Middle School will pivot to virtual learning starting April 27 to April 30 and will return for in-person learning on May 3, Superintendent, Dr. Marc Bertrand wrote in a statement.
Although the new cases span three grade levels, Bertrand noted they were not caused by linked transmission in school.
Parents and students can visit the district's COVID-19 Data Chart for information that is updated daily and reflects the number of cases in each school.
"As always, we implore the school community to maintain health precautions even as more and more individuals get vaccinated. Without a strong community commitment, these types of interruptions in students’ in-person learning could continue," the statement reads.
